Mark Charlton – President

Mark Charlton has 23 years experience in the machine tool financing industry. Mark attended Marquette University and graduated from UWM in 1980, Mark began his career at Melon Bank and worked his way up the ranks. He was eventually promoted to Branch Manager, but he was looking for a more interesting opportunity in the equipment leasing arena.

Mark recognized the need for an industry specific leasing company in 1985 when he formed an in-house financing company for a major builder and distributor of machine tools. Originally the company was designed to only handle loans in-house for the distributor. The company quickly expanded to handle financing for other vendors and competitors as well.

Mark became very well known and respected in the machine tool industry. His success with Tech Financial was predictable based on the great relationships he had personally developed over the years. Mark formed Tech Financial Services, A Five Lakes Company, in 2003 with Tim Murphy. Mark continues to grow the business by building lasting relationships with his vendors and customers.
